One of the biggest challenges we face in America
in the 21st century is providing healthcare to everyone. Oakhurst is one of a thousand community health centers in
the United States,
serving over 16,000,000 patients each year.
Our goal is 30,000,000 by the year 2015.
With two convenient locations, we believe we offer a unique solution to the
very perplexing challenge of providing health care to everyone. Serving the Central
DeKalb County
in suburban Atlanta, Oakhurst is
uniquely positioned to provide quality health care to an underserved
population. Each year, we save the health care system tens of thousands of
dollars. Our organization undergoes regular Joint
Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) surveys and is
constantly monitored by many other federal, state and local organizations. In
addition we participate in many collaborative partnerships that require us to
track and focus on chronic disease outcomes, thereby increasing the quality of
services we provide.
At Oakhurst, we accept the challenge to empower our patients and communities to
take control of their lives by modifying their behavior to live healthier and
more productive lives.
